Raavana’s another lady- Priyamani
fter ‘Paruthiveeran’, offers were kept dropping on her lap. Priyamani is a lady who has spread her magic across the country. Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and now Hindi. She has attempted every language movie and created ripples in each industry with her acting powers.
She has bagged the prestigious role played by Kavya Madhavan in the super hit Malayalam movie, ‘Classmates’. Priyamani is doing ‘Ninaithaale Inikkum’ the Tamil remake of that movie. Under the banner of Gemini Film Circuit, the Tamil movie is directed by Kumar and the story revolves around college life.
Priyamani is excited about her bilingual project, ‘Raavana’ which has an imposing star cast and is directed by Mani Ratnam. She reveals, “Mani Ratnam sir called me to Madras Talkies directly, after he saw my film ‘Paruthiveeran’. He told this character in ‘Raavana’ is more challenging and has lot of scopes to show case my full talent. I have finished 25 days of the shoot in Madhya Pradesh and I have nearly 10 days more for my part to be finished.”
Besides ‘Ninaithale Inikkum’, she has ‘Aarumugam’ in Tamil. She is paired up with Prithviraj again in ‘Puthiya Mugam’ in Malayalam. Then she has ‘Pravarakidu’ in Telugu- with Jagapathi Babu and her first Kannada movie, ‘Raam’ with Puneeth Rajkumar.

Now don’t be taken aback with the headline. The movie ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ already has an interesting set of star cast with Karthi Sivakumar, Reema Sen, Andrea Jeremiah, Parthiban and Pratap Pothan. And the looks for these people are given by none other than South’s elite fashion designer, Erum Ali, the wife of actor, Abbas. Yes, the beautiful designer has designed the whole wardrobe for the movie’s cast.
The magnum opus of director Selvaragavan is a racy thriller movie, which is fast approaching its releasing date. Reema Sen plays a scientist while Andrea is an archeologist in the movie. One can see Parthiban donning a stylish look with a cool hairstyle these days. The hero, Karthi, equally enjoys a new image in the movie. All thanks to the talented Erum Ali.

Vikram’s role in Mani Rathnam’s ‘Raavan’ revealed!
Actor Vikram hadn’t revealed anything about his characterizations of the both version for ‘Raavana’ directed by Mani Rathnam.
Recently, the actor had leaked a small info while shooting the breeze with a journalist. It has been confirmed that Vikram will be performing the role of a cop in Hindi version while Prithviraj will take on his role in Tamil version. But it’s really confusing to get sorted out with who’s the hero and villain of the film actually.
When these things are really puzzling out, Mani Rathnam has been roping in more and more performers from day-to-day. Recently Silandhi fame Munna was pulled in for a meaty role and the actor himself uttered, ‘I will be a part of big turning point in this flick’. And now, Actress Ranjitha has been roped for yet another vital role. But until now, nothing has been opened about the roles of Karthik and Prabhu.
However a buzz has mentioned that either one of them will taking the role of a forest officer.
GV Prakash enter production
top all the talk about recession. We are recovering, definitely. Everybody in filmdom is turning producer.
If it was actor Vikram, who turned producer last week, and Arya, a bit before that, it is now the turn of music composer GV Prakash.
The young composer, who is hardly a dozen films old, is all set to launch his own production house. The musician who recently courted fame for his score in 'Aayirathil Oruvan', Prakash has an interesting lineup of films now, including a Bollywood project.
Yuvan Shankar Raja has also launched his production house, called White Elephant, while it is rumored that his brother Karthik Raja too is looking at producing a film and is looking for a script.
